Sierra View Country Club Members: Invite your friends to join you at the 2015 Hot August Nights classic cars event. The date is August 22, from 4:30 to 9:00. Inspect the classic cars (like this vintage Corvette, all dolled up like it’s at the A&W Drive-In), enjoy the wine tasting, feast at the buffet, rock to the music of Boomer, and cheer at twilight as the classic cars cruise around the paths of the golf course. Yes, they are all in cruise condition!
This event is one of the highlights of the summer every year so get your reservation in right away. Members, call 916-783-4600 by August 17th to get your spot reserved.
This is the 8th Annual occurrence of Hot August Nights at Sierra View. Photos from the 2014 Hot August Nights event can be viewed in the Timeline of the SVCC Facebook Page.
Happy Hour and Grill is offered now on Fridays for members of Sierra View Country Club. Question: Who wants to cook dinner at home on Friday? Not I. We invite all members to discover the new Happy Hour and Grill Menu served every Friday evening from 5:00 to 8:00, (with the exception of any Prime Rib Friday).
Nine and Dine/Wine
The new Friday Happy Hour and Grill is another of the benefits of membership at Sierra View View Country Club. And now that the summer heat is behind us, making afternoon golf really pleasant, members can put together a foursome to do Nine and Dine or Nine and Wine most any Friday afternoon. As the days grow shorter, you can think of this as “chasing sundown.” If you aren’t already a member of Sierra View Country Club, call Richard Payne at 916-783-4600 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Grill menu is comprised of about 8 choices, all tasty. Some are small portions, such as the order of pot stickers, spring rolls or potato skins, and others are a full meal, such as the shredded BBQ beef on a sesame bun with onion rings, or the Black and Blue cheese burger. Fabulous! The prices range from $6 to $9.50.
Happy Hour Drink Menu
As for the Happy Hour part of these special Friday evenings, the bar is serving Pacifico, Shock Top or Fortune beers for $4. Well drinks, Cosmopolitans, Cuervo Gold or Margaritas are $5. Wine is $4 and features wines from a special California winery, such as Stone Cellar.
Sports fans can keep up with their favorite football, basketball, tennis or golf event on one of the five flat screen TVs in the lounge.
Our only caution to members and their guests is to make sure you tell your golfing group to keep an eye out for your ball mid-flight. On some of the holes, as the sun gets low on the horizon and the shadows lengthen, it takes more eyes than just yours to track your shot.
